An iPhone would be hacked out of 10 in Canada. These phones are "unlocked" and allow their owners to download applications without paying the required fees, reveals a study of American society Pinch Media.
Canada ranks sixth in countries where the iPhone is Apple's most pirated.
It is preceded by China (38%), Russia (24%), Brazil (22%) Mexico (15%) and Italy (12%), reported the newspaper Les Affaires.
In the United States, only 5% of iPhone were unlocked.
"No product is not really hackable. The figures are low. Only 38% of units contain pirated application download illegally. It is really a small market. IPhone applications cost almost nothing. These are not people who just want an application or two that will hijack the aircraft. They are really manic ... But this is not they who are undermining the financial industry, "says columnist and technology company, François Charron.
